Banksia Bluff Cabins are nestled within the the coastal landscape, a short walk to the pristine beaches of Cape Conran Coastal Park. The basic timber cabins have been constructed from locally-sourced timber and offer family and small group accommodation designed for a comfortable stay.

During your stay, explore the wonderful experiences on offer at Cape Conran - from the excellent fishing opportunities at West Cape to the Cape Conran Nature Trail which highlights the unique coastal environments found throughout this wonderful park.

Details

The rangers' office is open until 4pm. Arrival after dark is not recommended. There is no public lighting, and locating your cabin in the dark can be difficult. If arriving after dark, please bring a torch.

Linen is not available for hire. Please bring your own linen, pillows, blankets, towels and tea towels.

Potable water is not supplied to the accommodation, and the bore and tank water is not suitable for consumption. A complimentary 15L supply of drinking water will be supplied.

There is no shop at Banksia Bluff. The rangers' office has limited supply of ice for sale. Nearby Marlo (17km) has fuel and basic supplies. Orbost (34km) has fuel, supermarket, chemist and medical services.

Dogs and other pets are not allowed in the Banksia Bluff Cabins precinct.

30 days or more prior notice to the booking arrival date - 50% of the applicable fees per night.
Less than 30 days prior notice to the booking arrival date - 100% of the applicable fees per night.

Banksia Bluff Cabin - up to 7 Guests

Banksia Bluff Cabins are nestled within the coastal landscape and feature locally milled speciality timbers. Completely open plan, the heart of the cabin is a large timber table for gathering around – there is not a TV or couch. The rustic kitchen is basic with a small 2-hotplate electric cooker with grill, fridge and microwave. Saucepans, crockery and cutlery are supplied – you may also choose to bring your own electric frypan or slow cooker. Dishwashing detergent, dishcloth, and scourer provided.
The shower and toilet are just outside the cabin along the deck, with 4 rolls of toilet paper provided.
The wood heater is atmospheric, and firewood is supplied outside in the woodhouse. A complimentary supply of matches and firestarters is provided. Outside enjoy a campfire in the fire-ring provided, or a gathering at the communal electric BBQ and campfire. A communal washing machine is available in the laundry hut.

Sleeping capacity of 7:

GROUND LEVEL: Queen bed + 1 single bed
UPSTAIRS LOFTS: accessed by a ladder: 4 single mattresses (on loft floor)

BYO Linen and bedding:

Linen is not provided and not available for hire upon arrival. You need to bring all your own complete linen and bedding including mattress protectors, sheets, pillows, doonas, blankets, towels, bath mats, tea towels and oven mitt.

BYO drinking and cooking water:

If arriving after hours, your key will be left in the door of your cabin.

The heart of the cabin is the large timber tables for gathering around, and the couch by the wood fire. The rustic kitchen is basic with electric and gas cooking, fridge and microwave. Saucepans, crockery, and cutlery are supplied – you may also choose to bring your own electric frypan or slow cooker. Dishwashing detergent, dishcloth, and scourer provided.
