Located within the historic Quarantine Station precinct, the pre pitched Discovery Tents offer a unique opportunity to camp under canvas within Point Nepean National Park. The standing-height tents are fixed to timber platforms and include basic camp furniture.

The campground area features two and four person sites, as well as accessible amenities including hot showers, toilets, and a fully equipped camp kitchen with an outdoor dining area and BBQ’s.

Cancellation Policy

30 days or more prior notice to the booking arrival date - 50% of the applicable fees per night.
Less than 30 days prior notice to the booking arrival date - 100% of the applicable fees per night.
No transfers.

Directions

If driving, take the M1, Eastlink (M3), then Mornington Peninsula Freeway (M11) and follow the signs to Portsea and along Point Nepean Road. The Queenscliff to Sorrento vehicle and passenger ferry operates on the hour from 7am to 6pm and connects travellers with Point Nepean Road.
Visitors can catch a suburban train from Melbourne to Frankston and then the PTV bus to Portsea (788), which terminates at the park entrance. An internal park shuttle bus connects daily with the 788 PTV bus at the front entrance carpark bus stop for transfers to the Quarantine Station (pick‐up 10:25am & 1:30pm, drop‐off 1:00pm & 4:15pm or 4:45pm during day light saving time). 2 Person Accessible Tent


Pre-pitched 2-person (3m x 4m) all-abilities accessible canvas tent on a timber platform. Specifically for people with a disability and/or reduced mobility. Please contact 13 1963 prior to booking this site to ensure it is suitable for your needs.


Tent comes complete with stretcher beds (207cmL x 78cmW x 30cmH with 150kg weight capacity), mattresses, side tables and mains power. Bring your own bedding, pillow, towel, torch and chair.


PLEASE NOTE: Tents have been custom designed to enable all-abilities access, with a new-to-market accessible stretcher bed product currently under development. Please contact 13 1963 to discuss your specific accessibility requirements, as current temporary stretcher beds may not be suitable for all guests.
